METEOR Group CEO, Dato’ Naharudin Ali, kicked off his New Year Address on 9 January with these inspiring lines from “If You Believe” (by Patch Crowe and Strive to Be).
Addressing the staff gathered at Menara OUM, he emphasised the importance of taking the initiative when things get tough. To reinforce his point, he quoted our Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who said, ‘If we just play it safe and do nothing, knowing that things will only get worse, that’s a serious failure of good leadership.’
Dato’ Naharudin then reminded us that keeping our customers happy is absolutely crucial for any successful business – it’s the key to long-term success. He also stressed the need to be flexible and adapt to the rapidly changing world around us. Things like embracing AI and making smart strategic decisions are essential if we want to stay ahead of the curve.
He then took a moment to celebrate all the amazing things we achieved in 2024. We welcomed a record number of new students (a whopping 18,211!), our finances are looking great, and we have even improved employee benefits.
Dato’ Naharudin expressed his pride in everyone’s hard work and encouraged us to keep pushing for even greater productivity, ending with the words, “We’re all in this together!”
