Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin Md Ninggal is a distinguished professional with extensive expertise in counselling and psychology. As a Registered Professional Counsellor and Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), he employs an integrative counselling approach to serve a diverse clientele including government agencies, corporate sectors, educational institutions, professional bodies, expatriates, NGOs, and the broader community. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Honours) with a specialization in Guidance & Counselling from Universiti Putra Malaysia, as well as a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Counselling & Supervision from Western Michigan University, USA. Furthermore, he has augmented his qualifications with an Executive Education Certificate from the prestigious Haas Business School at the University of Berkeley, California, USA..
Professor Tajudin is renowned as the visionary behind Malaysia’s pioneering online Smart Psychology System, inaugurated in 2003. Known as TAJMA, this ground-breaking system comprises two bilingual software applications: TAJMA Personality Profile Plus (TPP+) and TAJMA Career Interest Profile Plus (TCIP+). Additionally, he has developed the latest psychometric profiling tool named PsyQIQ Plus, specifically tailored for OUM learners. This comprehensive profiling system includes three essential tools: the Learner Style Profile, Stress Profile, and Personality Profile. Throughout his career, he has conducted psychometric profiling and assessments for more than 50,000 individuals, spanning diverse age groups, genders, and occupational sectors.
With over 33 years of professional practice in counselling psychology, his expertise encompasses a wide array of areas including psychological testing and assessment, corporate coaching, stress management, individual and group counselling, career counselling, marriage and family counselling, and cross-cultural counselling.
Professor Tajudin has held significant roles in various counselling organizations, including serving as a Member of the Malaysian Counselling Board and the Counselling Advisory Council Malaysia. He has also contributed as Secretary and Vice President of the Malaysia Counselling Association (PERKAMA International) and as the co-founder, lifetime member, and former Vice President I of the Malaysian Psychometric Association (MPA). Engaging on the international stage, he is a Professional Member of esteemed organizations such as the American Counselling Association (ACA), the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the Association of Psychological and Educational Counsellors of Asia-Pacific (APECA). Notably, his expertise led to his appointment as a cross-cultural counselling consultant by the Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI), USA, where he served for six years.
Professor Tajudin is the author of the Al-Ghazalian Psychospiritual Counselling Approach and is deeply committed to research and scholarly writing. He has authored seven books on counselling and student development and has delivered over 200 scholarly papers at both national and international conferences over the past decade. Presently, he holds the role of Visiting Psychological Consultant at Twin-Towers Medical Centre, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, and is honoured to serve as an Eminent Visiting Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
