FOE HOSTS POSTGRADUATE COLLOQUIUM

On 4 May, the Faculty of Education (FOE) gathered academic minds at Menara OUM Kelana Jaya for its annual Postgraduate Colloquium, chaired by Dr S. Vighnarajah P.K. Selvarajah.

The event showcased the depth and breadth of educational research being conducted by postgraduate learners within the faculty.

The colloquium commenced with an opening address by the faculty Dean, Dr Aliza Ali.

Dr Aliza warmly welcomed the participants, who included distinguished faculty members and 15 presenters. These presenters offered insights into a diverse array of research interests, significantly enriching the academic discourse of the day.

The participants enjoyed a full schedule of presentations, covering a wide range of educational topics.

The event provided a valuable platform for the presenters to receive targeted feedback, refine their methodologies, and broaden their professional networks.

Additionally, the colloquium included interactive sessions where academic staff and learners exchanged perspectives and engaged in in-depth discussions.

The day concluded with a ceremony honouring the four standout presenters of the colloquium: Kirijaa Ratnarajah from the Doctor of Philosophy (Education) programme, together with Jacky Wong, Chew May Ann, and Lim Whay Chuin from the Doctor of Education (EdD) programme.

They were recognised for their outstanding contributions to educational research, marking a high note in the day’s proceedings.
