As the sun sets on 2024, it’s only fitting to pause and reflect on the journey this year has been. At OUM, this past year has been marked by triumphs that have added value to our journey. Some of the highlights are listed below:
19 January: We received our first Gold in the Education and Learning category at the Putra Brand Awards 2023. Winning this award meant a lot to us as it is based on the choices of Malaysian consumers, making it a true reflection of public opinion.
31 January: A strategic research alliance initiative was launched to foster interdisciplinary research within OUM. The alliances cover four areas: quality education; technology integration and innovation; inclusive education and sustainable business; and psychological and spiritual well-being and environmental sustainability.
22 February: OUM received the Bronze at the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA) 2023. It was a great honour as the award promotes integrity and good governance in Malaysia.
28 February: We supported national sporting excellence by awarding a scholarship to national shuttler and Bachelor of Education (TESL) student Thinaah Muralitharan.
6 April: A total of 72 Vietnamese students graduated with an OUM degree from our partner institution, HUTECH. We now have 1888 graduates in Vietnam.
