On 19 August, the Centre for Learner Affairs (CLA) held a Master’s Project Paper Writing Workshop at Menara OUM in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with three faculties – the Faculty of Business & Management, Faculty of Technology & Applied Sciences, and Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, drawing participation from 98 learners from the Klang Valley and other states in Malaysia.
The objective of the workshop was to provide guidance and support for learners to plan, develop, and complete their master’s project paper.
The workshop was divided into two parts: (i) introduction by Norhaslin Abdullah Hashim from the Learner Management Division and Shahril Effendi Ibrahim from the Digital Resource Centre and (ii) parallel sessions with faculty members.
The workshop kicked off with an introduction by the Director of OUM Graduate Centre, Assoc Prof Dr Shishi Kumar Piaralal, and a sharing by GM (Learner Experience and Technology), Prof Dr Santhi Raghavan, on CLA’s range of support services to assist students, such as e-CRM (our student support system), Live Chat, and student counselling services.
The feedback received from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, expressing their gratitude and desire to quickly complete their project paper.
