Bali, Indonesia – OUM made a significant impact at the recently concluded Inclusive Lifelong Learning Conference held here from 3 to 6 July. The conference, organised by the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) and the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, brought together experts and policymakers from around the world to discuss the importance of lifelong learning.
OUM’s APEL Centre Director, En. Rohaizak Omar, was invited to speak at a workshop on the role of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) in supporting recognition, validation, and accreditation (RVA) of prior learning. He shared valuable insights on how the MQF plays a crucial role in lifelong learning initiatives related to RVA.
OUM’s participation in the conference highlighted its dedication to promoting the recognition of learning experiences and their significance in supporting lifelong learning. The University’s presence alongside high-level representatives from ASEAN countries, partner countries, and technical and financial partners demonstrated its leadership in the field.
As the conference came to a close, OUM left a lasting impression on the attendees, reinforcing its position as a key player in promoting lifelong learning and the advancement of inclusive education.
