The MoUs were signed during a two-day working visit to Makassar led by the University’s President/Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Ahmad Izanee Awang, from 11 to 12 January.
According to Prof Izanee, OUM explored future collaborations with Institut Parahikmah, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin, Universitas Negeri Makassar, Universitas Hasanuddin and Universitas Bososwa.
“Through partnership with these five institutes of higher learning, we aim to promote quality education in both countries, especially through open and distance learning. The MoUs will enable us to work together in the areas of learning technology, research, academic programmes, conferences, lecturer exchange, and student mobility,” he informed.
“Since 2006, OUM has partnered with more than 14 institutions worldwide. We will continue working tirelessly to become a reputable ODL provider, not just in Malaysia, but also across the globe.”
