CiDT’s winning entry, a paper titled “H5P + AI: A Powerful Combination for Engaging Learning in Open, Distance, and Digital Education,” showcased the innovative integration of HyperText Markup Language 5 Package (H5P) and artificial intelligence (AI) to create immersive and interactive learning experiences. This achievement follows the Centre’s bronze medal win at the International Teaching and Learning Innovation Competition (I-TLIC 2024) on 17 July, where CiDT was recognised for its project, “Unlocking the Potential of H5P on Learner Engagement in Higher Education in Malaysia.”
Earlier, in May, CiDT had secured a silver medal at the International Industrial Revolution 4.0 Exposition (IREx 2024) for its project, “H5P in Higher Education: Proven Strategies to Boost Engagement and Learning Outcomes.” The project highlighted the effectiveness of H5P in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.
These consistent successes underscore CiDT’s commitment to developing world-class educational materials and leveraging technology to improve student learning. The Centre’s contributions to the field have been widely acknowledged through its participation in international conferences and competitions.
