Overview
The Bachelor of Manufacturing Management (BMMG) programme was co-designed by the university and industry professionals to fill jobs in the manufacturing. The content of the degree programme allows students to improve upon their manufacturing and management experiences while also helping to create new skills for the present and future.
This degree comprises a management core, a technological emphasis, and a job-specific component customised to fit your needs in a manufacturing environment.
SIRIM Certification
SIRIM-Certified in Lean Management (SIRIM CLME) will be issued to BMMG learners after successful completing and passing the assessment for the modules based on SIRIM requirements.

- What is the uniqueness of the programme?
This programme is open to anyone who is involved in the manufacturing industry directly or indirectly. Whether you are a manager, engineer, technician, operator or the marketing team. There’s no boundaries for self-improvements and knowledge. Prior studies in manufacturing or engineering is not required in order to enrol into this programme. The courses are tailor-made according to the current industry standards and demands. This programme is also offered in all 33 OUM Learning Centres across Malaysia. - What are the entry requirements for BMMG?
Normal Entry- Pass STPM or its equivalent, with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in 2 subjects, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or its equivalent; or
- Pass STAM with minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or its equivalent; or
- Pass Diploma (MQF Level 4)/Advanced Diploma (MQF Level 5) or its equivalent; or
- Pass Matriculation/Foundation/Asasi or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
- Pass UEC with minimum Grade B in 5 subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English; or
- Other recognised equivalent qualification.
English competency requirement for international students: Minimum IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
Note:
The credit requirement in English at SPM level for candidates (i) and (ii) can be exempted if the qualifications comprise of English and the achievement is equivalent to/above the credit requirement of the subject at SPM level. (Equality of the subjects is the responsibility of HEP and the HEP needs to have strong internal policies/procedures in assessing the equality).OR
APEL entry

- Candidate must be 21 years old and above in the year of application being made; and
- Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and
- Pass APEL Assessment for Bachelor Degree (conducted by OUM).
- What is the mode of teaching for the programme?
BMMG is a taught course program (Part-time for 4 years 1 semester) where you are encouraged to attend the e-tutorial sessions conducted using video conferencing via Google Meet (8 sessions@8 hours per course) by E-Facilitator.
You will also be supported with the forum discussion under the learning platform (MyInspire) assisted by the e- facilitator. Assignment and modules will be uploaded in your MyInspire course.You are recommended to register for 3 courses per semester.
You are required to submit assignments through online and sit for the take home final examination through online submission. Some of the courses will have fully coursework. - What is the fees of the programme?
