Overview

The Diploma in Human Resources Management (DHRM) is designed to cater to the needs of those seeking career as junior executives in HRM, in both business and non-business organisations. In order to qualify for the diploma, a minimum of 90 credit hours of approved courses must be completed.

Discount for the Physically Challenged Learners (OKU) and Senior Citizens

The University offers 50% discount for:
1. Senior citizens aged 60 and above on registration date; and
2. Physically challenged learners – a valid Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU) is required.
The discounts are not valid for second time registration and repeating of subjects.
Learners who receive this discount are not entitled to other discounts and promotions.

    This program is offered for those who are interested in the field of Human Resource & trained personnel in Human Resource Management.
  2. What should I learn in this programme?
    The basic knowledge in various area and depth in Human Resource Management.
  3. What is the entry requirement for this programme?
    SPM (pass in Bahasa Melayu and History) with minimum 3 credits
  4. How to apply if I don’t have minimum 3 credits in SPM?
    You may use APEL entry.
  5. What is the requirement for APEL entry?
    • Malaysian; and
    • Candidate must be 20 years old and above in the year of application being made; and
    • Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and
    • Pass APEL Assessment for a Diploma (conducted by OUM).
  6. How long it takes to complete this programme?
    3.5 years or 10 semesters
  7. What are the types of assessment given to learners?
    • Method 1 – 100% assignment
    • Method 2 – Assignment + Final Exam
    • Method 3 – Online continuous assessment + Final exam
  8. What is total fee for this programme?
    The total fee is RM12,780
  9. What are the methods of payment?
    You may pay your fees using various method as follow:

  10. I have registered a diploma programme before in other college but did not complete. Is it possible to get any credits transferred?
    Yes, you may apply for credit transfer. However, approval is subject to the University’s credit transfer policy.
  11. How do I apply to become an OUM learner?
    • Option 1 – You may visit our Main Campus or any of our Learning Centres.
    • Option 2 – You can fill in the online application form at https://cms-portal.oum.edu.my/
  12. How would I know whether my application is successful?
    If you apply online, you will be given an immediate conditional letter of admission.However, you still need to submit document for entry qualifications for confirmation status.
