Q: How did you find out about OUM?
A: Through advertisements by Villa College, which were circulated in schools and through different media platforms.
Q: What is the one thing you really liked about the Master of Education programme?
A: When we studied curriculum and leadership theories as well as other theories, every module presented two or three theories by Muslim scholars. It was very interesting to me as it had never been done before in any of my previous studies. It made me love and appreciate Islam more as a Muslim educator.
Q: What is your opinion of the lecturers?
A: The lecturers who delivered the programme at Villa College were extraordinarily great in terms of their subjects and experience in the field. I enjoyed and loved the interactions I had with all of them. It was the best learning experience I had as an adult and I learnt so much.
Q: How did the Master of Education programme benefit you?
A: When I started it, I was a lead teacher at the school where I am working now. The master’s programme broadened my knowledge of the education system, especially on curriculum and modern methods of teaching and leadership that are suitable for running a school today.
Immediately after I completed the programme, I became the Deputy Principal. Almost 3 years later, I became the Principal.
Q: Congratulations! That’s great to hear. We hope you will have continued success in your career. Before we end, would you like to add anything?
A: My learning experience is something I would cherish forever. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my story.
